Mumbai-based electric vehicle (EV) manufacturing startup Odysse has launched its latest offering—an electric motorcycle named Vader. Introductory prices for the motorcycle start at Rs 1,09,999 (ex-showroom Ahmedabad) and Rs 1,29,999 (ex-showroom pan-India, including FAME II subsidies). Bookings for the Vader are open for a token amount of Rs 999 at all 68 dealerships across the country and deliveries are slated to start in July this year. The company claims the motorcycle to be a 100% localised product. In fact, most of its body panels seem to be borrowed from another very popular motorcycle in the Indian market. It will be offered in five colour schemes—Midnight Blue, Fiery Red, Glossy Black, Venom Green, and Misty Grey. Vader gets a familiar hardware setup comprising a telescopic fork up front and a dual spring-loaded setup at the rear. Braking duties are handled by a 240mm front and a 220mm rear disc, complemented by a combi braking system (CBS). It rolls on 17-inch front and rear alloy wheels shod with a 90/90 section tyre up front and a fatter 140/70 section unit at the rear. The motorcycle weighs around 128kg.
